We are moving forward in our goal to relocate the Winter Park ski-jumps. In the last year we have:

  • Selected a new site in the Town of Winter Park;
  • Gained community support by meeting with the Town Board and Chamber of Commerce;
  • Gained approval from Winter Park Resort president Gary DeFrange to relocate the ski-jumps within the Forest Service Permit boundary and we have been included in Intrawest's Master Plan;
  • Conducted preliminary hill designs with the help of "Doc" Bland who leads the US Ski Team Engineering Committee;
  • Met with the US Forest Service; and
  • Conducted field work for an Environmental Assessment (EA) study

We have also changed our name to the Winter Park Sports Foundation (WPSF), and have been granted 5013c status by the IRS. This means all donations to our organization are now tax deductible.

We have the following goals for the next 12 months:

  • Update our website;
  • Increase membership;
  • Raise the necessary money;
  • Conduct final hill designs for the following hills (K10, K20, K40, K70, K90 and K120); and
  • Construct the smaller jumps (through the K70)
